The change towards a sustainable, resource- and energy-efficient industry will be a major challenge in the upcoming years. With the growing attention on biofuels, biomaterials and biochemical, the efficient energy supply, the optimized integration of renewable energy sources and the recovery of resources in the sense of closing production cycles need to be fostered respectively.

The international workshop on the Nexus Energy - Water - (Bio) Industry takes up these intersectoral topics in order to address technological solutions for industrial energy- and resource efficiency. Selected lectures from international R&D and industry provide a detailed overview of current developments and best practice examples.
